Ultimate Poker Challenge to Host $10,000 Tournament at Close of Championship Series Week; March 12th - 18th at Binion's Gambling Hall and Hotel i

(PRWeb) February 9, 2007 -- The Ultimate Poker Challenge is excited to hold its first of four '2007 Championship Series Week' beginning March 12th at Binion's Gambling Hall and Hotel in Las Vegas. Tournament director Brad Thomte said, "We are expecting a great turn out, especially for the big event!"

The big event is the $10,000 Tournament that will start on Friday March 16th. Thomte continued, "The big draw of the event is that all of the players will start out with $30,000 in chips. Each level is gonna last for 75 minutes, which will give everyone a lot of room for play."

As of this time, the $10,000 tournament is scheduled to last from Friday, March 16th until Sunday March 18th. "Binion's is fully prepared to extend the tournament days to accommodate the number of entrants." Thomte added, "We'll let this game run as long as it has to, without any unnecessary interruption from the casino." Ultimate Poker Challenge production manager Rita Hawn agreed, "This is a televised event, so every day we'll have a featured table equipped with lipstick cameras. If the tournament goes for four or five days, we'll be there capturing all of the excitement right up to and including the final table."

The Championship Series Week will begin with three days of $660 tournaments and one full day (Thursday, March 15th) of Super Satellites. The Super Sattelites will cost $1060 and allow players to win their buy in for the $10,000 event. There will also be a $1060 tournament on Sunday March 18th, where the top three finishers will win bonus trips for two to Mexico, including air and hotel (based on 60 players or more).

Hawn continued, "We at the UPC are looking forward to this week, especially the big event. Binion's is even running special room rates for our players. We're confident that it will be a huge success."
